SEXISM NOWADAYS
I'm gonna start of by outlining the definitions of two words that have so much controversy that makes people to create what they mean and change the definition and this whole page will be about what they mean and represent. I will not change the meanings of this words or say it differently. The definitions will be as they are in the dictionary.
Sexism - prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination, typically against women, on the basis of sex.
Feminism - the advocacy of women's rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic equality to men.
Sexism is rejecting or refusing someone to work because of the sex and this is mainly towards and can be towards men also and stereotyping which could be "All women should cook, clean and take care of their children and also listen to their husbands." this is saying that all women should be the same and follow orders from their husbands. Discrimination which is similar to prejudice is mainly in a working basis.
Feminism is only political, social and economic which is to get women the same rights as men as in for a political for example votes and social for example rape by husbands against women and economic like being paid the same as women.
So, Does sexism still exist today?
It exists in such little things like vines, causal statements and within family taboos. Some of the sexism is very loud although.
For example maybe a father refuses for his daughter to go to work instead of get married.
Sexism largely exsists but it is dying out but work is still not done
